Sourcing Guide
How to Import Pulses from Egypt
A guide for international B2B buyers, importers and food packagers outlining the commercial flow, shipping ports and mandatory documentation for Egyptian agricultural exports.
The Sourcing and Export Process
Admiral Agro manages the entire value chain from farm sourcing and optical processing to customs clearance. Here is how B2B buyers import from our facility in New Damietta:
1. Inquiry & Specifications
Buyers submit an RFQ indicating the required product, size, caliber, packing type (25kg PP, 50kg, or private label), destination port, and Incoterm (FOB, CFR, CIF).
2. Sample Evaluation
We prepare and send counter-samples by express courier (DHL/FedEx) for the buyer's quality control and laboratory analysis before contract confirmation.
3. Quotation & Contract
Upon sample approval, we issue a firm quote and arrange the Sales Contract and Proforma Invoice (PI) detailing payment terms (typically LC or wire transfer).
4. Processing & Quality Inspection
The order is processed (dehulled, split, sorted, packed) at our New Damietta facility. Independent inspection agencies (SGS, Intertek, or customer-nominated) perform pre-shipment checks on weight and grade.
5. Port Loading & Customs
Loaded containers are cleared for export customs and dispatched to Egyptian ports. Loading ports include: Damietta (30km from factory), Alexandria, or Ain Sokhna (Red Sea).
Standard Export Documentation
Export documents vary based on the importing country requirements and shipping line rules. The following documents are typically provided by Admiral Agro:

- π Packing List: Net/gross weight, container numbers and seal numbers.
- π Certificate of Origin: Issued by the Chamber of Commerce, certified for destination.

Regulatory Compliance
We advise B2B buyers to verify specific import permits, custom tariffs, and labeling language requirements with their local customs broker before placing the order to ensure smooth clearance at destination.
