Buyer FAQ for Egyptian Pulses Export
Practical answers for importers, wholesalers, canners, food manufacturers and packing companies sourcing Egyptian pulses and legumes from New Damietta.
We work with T/T (bank transfer), Letter of Credit (LC at sight or 30/60/90 days), and CAD depending on order volume and buyer history. First-time orders typically require a 30% advance with 70% paid before shipment.
Our standard minimum is one full container load (FCL) โ approximately 18-22 metric tons depending on product density and packaging. We can discuss smaller quantities for first trial shipments on a case-by-case basis.
Yes. Admiral Agro exports fennel seeds, chamomile flowers, caraway seeds, nigella sativa (black seeds), and other Egyptian herbs and spices. All products are available in 25 kg or 50 kg bags, FOB New Damietta.
Selected products are available with organic certification. Please specify your certification requirement (EU Organic, USDA NOP, or other) in your quote request and we will confirm availability and pricing for the current season.
Yes. Admiral Agro supports private label packing on 25 KG and 50 KG PP woven bags. We print your company name, logo and barcode on request. Minimum quantities apply for custom printing.
We provide commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary certificate, COA, Halal, SGS/Intertek or COC support can be arranged when applicable and depending on destination requirements.
Yes. Third-party inspection support can be arranged when required by the buyer, including SGS, Intertek or Cotecna where available. Samples can also be sent for lab analysis before finalizing shipment.
Our main markets include North Africa (Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya), Middle East (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Gulf), East Africa (Sudan, Ethiopia) and European buyers through trading companies.
Yes. Our two facilities in the New Damietta Industrial Zone are 30 km from Damietta Port - Egypt's dedicated dry-cargo gateway. FOB loading is our standard term.
Standard packing: 25 KG and 50 KG PP woven bags. Also available: 10 KG non-woven, 500g / 1 KG retail consumer packs. Custom sizes and private-label packing on request.
Typical lead time for container shipments is 7-14 days after order confirmation, depending on product availability and inspection requirements. We can discuss accelerated timelines on request.
Yes. We offer product samples (typically 1-2 KG) for serious B2B buyers before placing a container order. Contact us via WhatsApp or the Request Quote form to arrange.
Prices are crop-season based and vary with international market rates. We provide indicative pricing on request and confirm final price at order stage based on current market and crop availability.
Yes. White beans are one of our key export products. We supply caliber options suitable for European retail and food industry standards. Brazilian market preference for specific calibers can be accommodated.
Yes. North Africa - especially Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria - is one of our primary chickpeas export markets. We supply both Kabuli and Desi-type chickpeas calibrated for regional preference.
Most products (chickpeas, fava beans, fava split, green lentils, fennel seeds, canary seed) are Egyptian origin. Red lentils and cowpeas may be Egyptian or imported origin depending on the season. Basmati rice is imported origin.
We support FOB Damietta, CIF destination port, and CFR destination port. Ex-Works (EXW) can also be arranged for buyers with their own freight arrangements.

Yes. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applies to soy, palm oil, cattle, timber, cocoa, coffee and rubber โ not to pulses, legumes or seeds. Egyptian chickpeas, fava beans, lentils, fennel seeds and other pulse and herb exports are not subject to EUDR due-diligence obligations. Buyers importing Egyptian pulses into the EU do not need to submit EUDR statements for these products.
Transit times from Damietta or Alexandria depend on destination: Mediterranean / Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Greece) = 7โ13 days; Northern Europe (Netherlands, Germany, UK) = 14โ20 days via Mediterranean feeder; North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) = 5โ10 days. We can also load via Ain Sokhna for Gulf and East African destinations (8โ16 days). Exact transit times vary by shipping line and schedule โ we confirm at quotation stage.
Yes. Admiral Agro exports Egyptian coriander seeds, cumin seeds and sesame seeds (both hulled and natural) in 25 kg PP bags, FOB Damietta, Alexandria or Ain Sokhna. These are available whole or ground for food manufacturing, spice packing and wholesale trade. Certificate of Analysis and Phytosanitary Certificate are included; EU MRL compliance documentation available on request.
Egyptian pulses (chickpeas, fava beans, lentils, white beans) can be imported to the EU and US without import licences or special permits beyond standard phytosanitary requirements. EU imports require a Phytosanitary Certificate and GOEIC Certificate of Origin; products must meet EU MRL levels. US imports (FDA-regulated food) require prior notice submission, Phytosanitary Certificate and bill of lading. We can provide all standard export documents; contact our team for destination-specific documentation advice.
Standard with every shipment: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, GOEIC Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (issued by Egyptian MALR). Available on request: Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an accredited laboratory, Halal certificate, SGS or Intertek pre-loading inspection report, Cotecna inspection where applicable. Specify your documentation requirements in your RFQ so they are confirmed in the proforma invoice.
